The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (SSPX) has announced that it will continue its annual pilgrimage to Lourdes. Following the episcopal consecrations on July 1 in Ecône, Bishop Jean-Marc Micas of Tarbes and Lourdes withdrew permission for the SSPX to celebrate public Masses, administer sacraments, or organize public prayers at Lourdes. In an August 22 statement, Fr. Gonzague Peignot, superior of the FSSPX in France, announced that the Fraternity intends to continue coming to Lourdes every year, “Our Lady does not deserve to be abandoned despite the obstacles,” he said. The FSSPX expressed 'sorrow and incomprehension', questioning the bishop's decision and pointing to the interreligious Christian-Muslim pilgrimage that was welcomed at the sanctuary in October 2025. For now, the FSSPX faithful intend to remain present at Lourdes, but their pilgrimage will no longer be able to take the same public form as in previous years. #newsPjxbelhyed
Fox News Politics TIP OF ICEBERG: 75,000 noncitizens were summoned for jury duty in New Jersey, blowing the state's motor voter scandal wide open. GOP lawmakers are now demanding a bipartisan investigation with subpoena power, saying the governor's internal probe is too narrow to capture the full scope of the problem. Republicans say they warned for years that automatic voter registration relied on an "honor system" with no real safeguards — and were dismissed as conspiracy theorists. On 23 August, at Holy Family Church in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, a woman knelt at the Communion rail during Communion. Just as the priest was about to give her Communion, she stood and handed him a flower. Despite Communion being distributed by intinction, she grabbed the Host and then took the chalice used for intinction, drank from it, and threw it onto the floor before leaving the church with an escort. The priest immediately purified the area where the Precious Blood had been spilled.

German Bishop: Perceived Absence of God Expands Homosexual Practices: “Conservative” Bishop Stefan Oster of Passau said in his Assumption homily that the lifestyles, sexual preferences and identities displayed at Christopher Street Day are difficult to reconcile with the Christian view of humanity: “The perceived absence of God has massively expanded the scope of what is possible within the entire context surrounding sex and gender.” Oster asked: “Is the writer Dostoevsky ultimately right when he says, ‘If God does not exist, then everything is permitted’?”

Today, Vice President J.D. Vance attended a Mass in the Roman rite with his family at Old St. Mary’s Church in Cincinnati, reports Crisis Magazine editor Eric Sammons on x.com, who was present. “It was nice to see J.D. Vance and his beautiful family at Mass this morning,” Sammons wrote on X on August 23. Sammons said Vance lives nearby and that his family attends several Cincinnati-area parishes when in town. He added that this was Vance’s first visit to Old St. Mary’s since becoming vice president. Vance’s presence brought additional security. According to Sammons, Secret Service agents screened everyone entering the church with handheld wands and checked bags. Sammons said the screening caused only a minute or two of waiting, describing the agents as “professional, efficient, and quite friendly. He also noted that he had heard Vance say his family deliberately varies which churches it attends to avoid repeatedly inconveniencing parishioners at any one parish. #newsBibrwcfcti
During the Consistory, Leo XIV told the cardinals, “Support me, stand with me in this battle against war,” pro-homosexual Cardinal Jean-Paul Vesco of Algiers told IlMessaggero.it on August 23. Questioning the “Just War” Cardinal Vesco questioned the Christian concept of a just war, arguing that “for those who are fighting, their own war is always just.” While acknowledging a right to self-defense, he asked, “But up to what point?” “In any case, war itself is not just. In the end, we no longer know where to draw the line.” Israel and its “Settlements, Settlements, Settlements” On Gaza, CardinalVesco recalled living in Jerusalem for two years and visiting Gaza several times during the Intifada: “I experienced the checkpoints and saw with my own eyes the humiliation they represented. Today it is much worse.” Even then, he said, it was difficult to believe in a two-state solution because the Israeli authorities did not want one: “Netanyahu has not wanted it for more than twenty years.” …Ossotina
Saint Emily de Vialar | The Woman Who Wouldn't Give Up on God's Mission | August 24 Today, August 24, we remember Saint Emily de Vialar, a French religious sister, missionary and founder of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of the Apparition. Born Émilie de Vialar in Gaillac, France, in 1797, Emily grew up in a relatively prosperous family. But God gradually placed another desire within her heart: to serve people who were poor, sick and forgotten. SERVING BEFORE FOUNDING Even before establishing a religious congregation, Emily quietly helped people around her. She cared for children. Visited those who were sick. Provided food and medicine. Helped people in need. Her father did not always understand or support the direction her life was taking. Yet Emily continued discerning what God was asking of her. Then an inheritance gave her an unexpected opportunity. Rather than simply using the money for herself, she used it to begin something much bigger. THE SISTERS OF SAINT JOSEPH OF THE …Ossotina

Does Leo XIV Embrace Borderless Globalism? “People always come before borders, before definitions and institutions,” said Leo XIV at the Meeting for Friendship Among Peoples in Rimini, Italy, on Saturday. “This realization stands at the center of Christianity,” he continued with more platitudes, adding: “Evil is not fought with evil. It is time to oppose the false realism that rearms minds, words, and nations with the realism of mercy.”

Revelation 21:21 indicates, albeit metaphorically, that Heaven has 'pearly gates'. I suppose he is in favor of the gates of Hell prevailing against those, as well.
We have a duty to seek the truth, and to reject evil. Sadly, the sources we've been told we can trust are politically compromised and have become one big stealth campaign for evil. How we choose to respond make a big difference. Is there any point trying to use Wikipedia for biblical research? I was doing research on Daniel 7 and 8 and predictably Wikipedia only gave the skeptic side of things. Even my 1984 encyclopaedia says "some say it was written in 165 BC, others say it was written earlier". But Wikipedia unequivocally declares the former. I say predictably because it's known to be edited by atheist Reddit types. What websites do you use for biblical research. THE happenings of our days are supplying strong arguments that the prophecies of the Holy Scriptures are coming to their realization. Better information means better preparedness. THE SMOKE OF THE ANTICHRIST is not available in book stores. The distribution of this book is carried out by the goodwill and ingenuity of its readers who wish to be the "fragrance of Christ for God" (II Cor. 2, 15), by sharing the light of Christ with their fellow men, in this age of general confusion brought into the world by "the world rulers of this darkness" (Eph. 6, 12).
